On behalf of my family, I wanted to take a moment and wish you and yours a Merry Christmas. In the midst of a very busy season, I pray you find time to give thanks for the blessings you have been given. Life isn’t perfect. In fact, it’s rarely even easy. But Christmas seems to provide an opportunity to step back and see our context in a bigger picture — it is with that perspective that our fortune becomes more easily visible.
My encouragement to you as we approach 2016 is to not simply be aware of what you are doing…but be aware of why you are doing it. Whatever your context, don’t let the destination keep you from enjoying and taking advantage of the journey.
God gave His Son so that we could have life…abundant life. I pray that your celebration of Jesus’ birth is fulfilling and that you embrace the opportunity for abundant life this Christmas season affords you.
